Pastor Erica C. Thomas

REV ERICA assoc 2

Rev. Erica Thomas is an Ordained Deacon in the United Methodist Church.  Erica knew that she had a call on her life for ministry at an early age, but knew that the actual time would come later and chose to pursue a career in music. She attended the University of Oklahoma where she received the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.  Pastor Thomas received a Master of Music in Opera/Music Theatre from Southern Illinois University.  Erica was a district winner in the Metropolitan Opera National Auditions in Oklahoma and St. Louis.  She has worked with The Children’s Theatre (OKC) and the Oklahoma City Arts Council in the summer Play in the Park program.   Pastor Erica has performed with Langston University, Rose State College choir, Milwaukee Bel Canto Chorus, the Ambassadors Concert Choir, Bellville Philharmonic and as an Apprentice Artist with the Santa Fe Opera.

After several years traveling and performing, Pastor Erica began to acknowledge the call after an Evangelism Workshop in Kansas.   She believes that her many years of performing and directing helped shape the work that God has called her – proclaiming the life-changing message of Jesus Christ through song to the world.  Rev. Thomas serves as Quayle’s Youth and Worship Pastor as well other duties with the church.  She is on the Oklahoma Conference Board of Camp Trustees and has served as vice-chair of COSROW.
