GREATER OKLAHOMA PRAYER CONFERENCE

Quayle United Methodist Church owes her origin to a small group of spiritually-minded people with a missionary zeal and a sense of civic pride that became the nucleus of a newly organized Methodist Church sometime during the year 1890, on a site at the corner of 4th and Robinson streets…Prior to 1901, the group met as a prayer band on a site at 320 East Grand Street. It was formally organized by a Reverend A. G. Murry (Caucasian) and a Reverend Towns (Negro).

So begins the historical sketch of Quayle United Methodist Church. Early members of Quayle met for 10 years before formally organizing into a church. Prayerfully considering what God was calling this body of believers to do in the Oklahoma City community.

As Quayle celebrates 125 years it is only appropriate that we begin this auspicious occasion with prayer. In conjunction with her sister church, The Christ Experience, Quayle will host a Prayer Conference, September 11-13. Friday and Saturday evening and Sunday morning worship will take place at the Glen Ellyn Park at NE 23rd and Glen Ellyn St. Bishop Raphael Green of the Metro Worship Center (St. Louis, MO) will be the guest evangelist.

The Prayer Conference will take place at Quayle, 5001 N. Everest, on Saturday (September 12) from 7:30am to 3:00pm. Registration is $25. Invite everyone to participate in this great move of God.
